Olvera's career has encompassed performances in both Mexico and United States. In Mexico Olvera choreographed in Casa de la Cultura Tuxtepec, Oaxaca and performed in Casa de la cultura Monterrey N.L. Mexico. Also he teach at many school in Monterrey N.L.
  In the USA Olvera taught classes and danced at the Asosiacion Nacional de Grupos Folkloricos (ANGF) at San Diego California 1985. and many Festival of Danzantes Unidos in California.  Olveras is dedicated to creating  and preserve traditional Folklorico dance.
   Olveras began training in Tepic Nayarit- Mexico under Agustin Torres, he was awarded a dance scholarship at the Danza Mexicana. He then trained under the guidance of Jaime Buentello y Bazan, Diamantina Ortegon de Amao. and many other teacher with big recognitiong in Mexico.
    In 1980 Olvera received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance  from the prestigious School of the Bellas Artes in Tepic Nayarit Mexico. and he was presented the coveted Cervantino Award for dancing in 1983.
      Olveras desires to keep traditional folklorico dance and Mexican culture alive in America by inspiring young dancers to follow the traditions and cultural heritage of the dancers of Mexico.
   Ramon currently resides in Sacramento California with his wife Catalina Olvera and two sons Raybikem and Iankyali.
